Hello to all of you who are visiting for the Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day! My name is Jessica, and this blog is about sewing, writing, being a mom, and trying to live as like a Narnian as I can in my little corner of the world. I know you have a lot of blogs to visit and giveaways to enter so let's get right to it!
I am giving away a handmade item and some fabric! This giveaway will have two winners!
The first winner will receive this fun, handmade (by yours truly) Christmas stocking:
I love Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane collection, and I thought these fabrics would make a really adorable stocking with a not-quite-shabby-chic, not-quite-Whooville feel to it. There is no law that says your Christmas stocking has to be red or green when pink and green will do just as well! The exterior fabric is Dream Dot in Celery and the cuff and lining fabric is Hop Dot in Cream.
The design, such as it is, is my own.
The second winner will receive the following fabric charm packs all from Thimbleberries. I inherited these fabrics, and they aren't quite my style, so I hope they will suite someone else! Three of the packs are "light" packs and have 19 pieces, and the other two packs have 25 pieces. There is a nice variety of prints in each pack. The second winner will receive all 5 packs!
So, what do you have to do to enter?
Just leave a comment! I know you are probably cruising through hundreds of blogs entering these lovely giveaways so I won't ask you to be clever (although please feel free to be clever if you really want), you can tell me your Christmas plans, or what your brother's middle name is, or just say "pick me, pick me!" Just please, please, please make sure I have a way to contact you . . . if you are a no-reply blogger (in other words, your email isn't listed on your public blogger profile) then please leave me your email address in your comment! Thanks!
If you would like a second entry follow my blog, and let me know in a comment that you did (or already do)!
I do hope that you will come back and visit after the giveaways are over! Also, if you haven't already make sure you check out all of the other giveaways on Sew, Mama, Sew!
Merry Christmas!
The fine print:
This giveaway is open until 9 pm PST on 12/17/10.
I will ship internationally, so please everyone feel free to enter!
This giveaway is now closed. Thanks!
I'm first!

What a totally cute stocking; I whole-heartedly agree that things don't just have to be pink and green, I did one with a lot of blue and white last year! As far as cleverness, ugh I've got preggo brain and have been up now over 5 hrs so don't count on that for me. I spent all weekend quilting though so I'm a little worn out :)

ReplyDeleteScrolled through your blog. Going to become a follower! Love what I saw, can't wait for more. I agree about the packs. Not really my style either, but I keep making quilts out of squares and sashing for quick gifts... and one less thing I have to worry about cutting straight... because I can't. At. All. I love wonky just because you don't have to cut straight!
ReplyDeleteCompletely un-clever today. Except, here is my new favorite joke: Why did the chicken cross the playground? To get to the other slide. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win that stocking or that fabric! both yummy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.

ReplyDelete“But even if I find my way out of the forest, I shall be left with the inconsolable memory of the treasure I went into the forest to find and never found, and which was not there and perhaps is not anywhere? But if not anywhere, why do I feel guilty at not having found it?” T. S. Eliot
I would love to win the charm squares! I don't have anything funny to say, but I do hope that you are somewhere warmer than here. We are currently in the middle of a snow storm with wind chill temps in the negative degrees!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I would love to win that fabric!
ReplyDeleteFree cats will ship for free too. Lol. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow you!
ReplyDeleteI read the Narnia books backwards. I didn't know when I picked the last one up that there were a series of books. I was probably around 9 or 10 at the time. And then I read them all backward. I think the stocking is lovely. I don't have a stocking. My son and his dad do, I do not. So this would definitely remedy that quickly. I'm really digging on the fabric too. So I'd be blessed to win either one. :) Thank you for being so generous!
