Deeper Magic

“It means,” said Aslan, “that though the Witch knew the Deep Magic, there is a magic deeper still which she did not know. Her knowledge goes back only to the dawn of time. But if she could have looked a little further back, into the stillness and the darkness before Time dawned, she would have read there a different incantation. She would have known that when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor’s stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backward."

  1. Hi Jessica

Followed you here from Twitter. :D

From the earliest age I knew I was a true Narnian. Imagine my joy when I found out Aslan has another name in this (wintery and differently magical) world!

Glad to have found your blog. Peace and blessings to you and your family this Easter

  3. Or, to put it a different way:

"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

    Romans 5: 6-8

    Happy Easter, Jessica.
